Common Questions
Below are answers to the questions we get most often. If you have other questions, please contact us using the form below.
Think about it this way. Who is more likely to find a new job faster: a person who develops an outstanding resume, researches companies, and networks like crazy with everyone they can or a person with a “me-too” resume who just responds to jobs listed in the classified ads?
No one knows ahead of time how they will find a job, but as a general rule there is no doubt that those who have great resumes and leverage their network find better jobs more quickly than those who don’t. The same holds true in adoption.
We certainly bring firsthand experience coupled with research-based expertise to help families understand expectant parents, develop a strong adoption profile, and do adoption networking and advertising, for example. We often provide an extra set of hands, as well, to get some of the work done that you just don’t have the time to do yourself.
You can also experience any course multiple times and skip around. In fact, you can watch as many times as you want within a 6-month period of time.
Our courses are incredibly interactive, too, because we give you the opportunity to complete exercises at certain points during the courses. This approach reinforces key points and helps you learn. It also gives you a chance to hear our answers to those exercises which again, strengthens your learning.
You may have attended free “training” webinars in the past and they do a good job of highlighting the issues for you, but they don’t really teach you anything. That’s because the companies behind them are trying to sell you something that can address the issues. That’s not our approach at all. We charge a fair price for skill-based training because we focus on giving you valuable skills you cannot get elsewhere.
For example, although we share more than 30 outreach ideas in our Adoption Networking & Advertising course, the objective of the course is for you to create your own outreach plan. You will take the information we share and the exercises in the training guide to understand your comfort level with the different ideas, as well as the cost and skills required for each idea. Then you will leverage the templates and examples in the training guide to create your personal plan.
As stated on the IRS website: You may be able to take a tax credit for qualifying expenses paid to adopt an eligible child. The adoption credit is an amount subtracted from your tax liability. Qualifying adoption expenses are reasonable and necessary adoption fees, court costs, attorney fees, traveling expenses (including amounts spent for meals and lodging) while away from home, and other expenses directly related to, and whose principal purpose is for, the legal adoption of an eligible child.
If you prefer to pay by personal check, however, please contact us to let us know what you need and we will email you an invoice immediately.
